High School Overview
SIBS High School is committed to providing students in Grades 9–12 with diverse, high-choice international education pathways. In Grades 9–10, the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum builds a solid academic foundation; in Grades 11–12, students can choose from three major international programmes — IBDP, A Level, and AP — alongside a BTEC international arts track. Based on their study-abroad goals, academic strengths, and personal interests, each student selects the pathway that fits them best. The division integrates Chinese mother-tongue courses, provides end-to-end college counseling, and offers a rich range of enrichment activities, supporting applications to the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and leading arts institutions worldwide.
IGCSE Programme · G9–G10

Students sit the Cambridge international examinations together, and over the past three years the A*–A pass rate has remained stable above 55%.
Upon entering Grade 10, students can decide their future direction among the A Level, AP, and IBDP programmes, with ample guidance on taster sessions and course selection.
A Level Programme · G11–G12
Cambridge A Level (General Certificate of Education Advanced Level) is administered by CAIE. The two-year programme (AS + A2) weights each year at 50%. Students typically take four subjects in the first year and focus on three in the second, freely combining humanities, sciences, and business. Examinations are held in the May–June main session and the October–November retake session, with grades from A*, A, B, C, D, E, to U. The qualification is widely recognized by universities in the UK, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, and other Commonwealth regions, and is also accepted by US and Canadian universities, often with transfer credit.
